Grand Geneva Resort & Spa offers ski and snowboard lessons for every age. Grand has teamed up with the Burton’s Learn to Ride (LTR) program. Burton’s Learn to Ride is designed to make learning to snowboard fun and easy by combining proven teaching methodologies with beginner-specific equipment. As part of the Learn To Ride program, Squaw is offering specially designed equipment for beginner snowboarders (both kids and adults). Burton’s LTR teaching methodologies help new riders to learn to make and connect their turns faster – making for a great first time experience on the hill!
Snow Cubs is a 1.5 hour program specially designed with our youngest guests in mind. Children 3 – 6 years are introduced to skiing or snowboarding in a controlled setting under the supervision of a professionally trained instructor. The Sunkids Carpet area will be utilized as the child progresses. Children are enrolled for a single session. Students are required to wear helmets at all lessons.These lessons are offered all season on Saturday and Sunday.
Mountain Mites is designed especially for children 6 – 14 years of age. Kids learn skills under the supervision of professionally trained instructors, using a specialized teaching system. Mountain Mites is fun for all! Beginners to advanced students; children spend a lot of time on the snow having a great time and becoming better skiers or snowboarders.
The Mountain Top and Adventure Center at Grand Geneva have ski and snowboard rentals available during the winter and bike rentals available during the spring, summer, and fall. High quality equipment is available for rental including the latest in technology, Dynastar Shaped Skis, which allow the skier to progress rapidly.Lange and Dalbello full buckle boots are available for adults and rear-entry children’s boots, offering easy entry and warmth. Also available: Rossignol, Dynastar and Burton Snowboards with step-in or strap bindings. Boot sizes range from Children’s 9 to Adult 15. Snowboard sizes range from Children’s 13 to Adult 14. Adult and children’s cross-country rentals are available on a limited basis.
A variety of sports are offered at Grand Geneva – golf, ski, tennis, fitness classes held at the WELL Spa + Salon and Fitness Center, or try a wide variety of activities at The Adventure Center: Volleyball, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Archery, Slack lines and more.
