Maxwell Street Days, the area's largest sidewalk sale of the year runs from Friday, August 24-Sunday, August 26. Opening times will vary by store, but most stores will be open by 10 a.m. and close around 5 – 6 p.m.
Fun Fact: Maxwell Street Days is named after a Founding Father of Lake Geneva – Dr. Philip Maxwell – whose residence was once the now Maxwell Mansion on Baker Street. Stop by for a visit!

Piano Bar Night LIVE I Mars Resort I August 29-Sept. 2
Mars Resort has the only piano bar in Walworth County. Enjoy live music there from 7 to 10 PM. Every Friday & Saturday night with patrons enjoying cocktails and singing along to all their favorites from the 40’s thru today. Live bands play on the tiki deck in front of Mars beach when it’s warm out.
Concerts in The Park I August 30
Every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. during the summer Flat Iron Park hosts Concerts in the Park featuring different musicians. This family-friendly weekly event offers two hours of wonderful music ranging from bluegrass, to alternative rock, to jazz. Bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets and friends for an evening of entertainment with a lakeside view.
Walworth County Fair - Elkhorn, WI I August 29- Sep. 3
Established in 1849, the Walworth County Fair is one of the oldest fairs in the state of Wisconsin. Open 7 am until 10 pm all days, except Labor Day (closing at 8 pm). Fun for the entire family. See website for detailed schedule of activities and entertainment.
