DAS FEST
When: August 5-7
Where: Walworth County Fair Grounds
Wisconsin is definitely known for their beer and brats as they proudly to roll out the barrel and celebrate their German roots! Get your culture on when attending this 3 day festival featuring German beer, food, shops, and 3 stages of entertainment. This festival is completely free to attend, has a fun carnival for the family, a 5k run for charity, and even dachshunds and corgis races. With an activity schedule that is packed to the brim with fun you won't want to miss this!
PHLOWFEST
When: August 5-6
Where: Alpine Valley
Check out this inaugural event where you will be brought back to the days of of summer camps and endless summer fun. With a very unique take on bringing together music, movement, and lifestyle growth, this two day will transform you mind, body, and soul. Enjoy a huge music lineup from national acts, wakeboard demos, yoga, and an outdoor adventure market where you can experience how to PHLOW in the now!
Art in the Park
When: August 13-14
Where: Flat Iron Park, Downtown Lake Geneva
The Geneva Lake Arts Foundation is hosting its 42nd annual Art in the Park in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva near the water. Bring the whole family to enjoy a day of fun and culture where more than 80 juried fine artists will fill their booths with exceptional works of art to browse and purchase. Featuring jewelry, glass, pottery, mixed media paintings and photography, plus so much more, there is sure to be something that can inspire anyone in attendance.. Oh and if looking for parking, free parking and shuttle service to downtown Lake Geneva is available both on Saturday and Sunday, from 8 AM to 8 PM from the northeast corner of the Home Depot parking lot, 550 North Edwards Blvd. The shuttle will deliver riders to the U.S. Bank, 303 Center Street, a short walk from the park.
Venetian Fest
When: August 17-21
Where: Lake Geneva
This is an annual tradition for Lake Geneva! Celebrating its 60th anniversary of the Lake Geneva Jaycees Venetian Festival, this five-day event in the heart of downtown Lake Geneva near the water will amaze you. Enjoy a weekend of great family entertainment including an artisan craft fair, epic carnival rides, an adventurous water ski show, festival food and a beer tent featuring live music daily. This is all capped off on Sunday with a traditional Venetian Style lighted boat parade followed by the area’s largest fireworks display over Geneva Lake.
Maxwell Street Days
When: August 26-28
Where: Streets of Lake Geneva
This is the perfect event for the shopping lover. Visit downtown Lake Geneva for three days of sidewalk sales with special promotions and fun stops to grab a bite or a refreshing drink. Boutique clothing, home decor, art and more can be found while you enjoy connecting with the community showcasing these unique offerings at reduced prices at this outdoor annual event. It’s also a great way for us to highlight the historical downtown shopping district. so grab your friends, hit the road to this charming lakeside area.
Walworth County Fair
When: August 31 - September 5
Where: Walworth County Fairgrounds
Talk about a long standing tradition. Enjoy the 173rd annual county fair where you can enjoy local exhibitors, the fruits of local bakery contests, barnyard fun, carnivals, tractor pulls, live music and so much more. Noted as the largest county fair in Wisconsin you will be sure to find something fun for the whole family all week long!
Taco Fest
When: September 9-11
Where: Lake Geneva House of Music
Ok, so who doesn't love tacos? With over a dozen vendors featuring traditional Mexican cuisine and retail items you'll be taco heaven! Enjoy refreshing cocktails, local musicians, mariachi bands, and more! Enjoy this Wisconsin foodie fest and bring home not only a full tummy but memories to last a lifetime!
