Lake Geneva Visitor's Center

Front Desk Receptionist 

This position is very important as you are the first person to be in contact with our visitors either in person, by phone or email. This person is like a concierge responsible for responding to the requests about the area including lodging, dining, activities, etc. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing our guests with written materials available from the VISIT Lake Geneva/Chamber of Commerce.


Variable - needs to be available during the times the Visitors Center/Chamber of Commerce is open.

Weekdays: 9AM - 5PM

Weekends: 10AM - 4PM

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain brochure and magazines area
    • Fill racks from the supply area.
    • Remove outdated materials
    • Request brochures, business cards and magazines from chamber members
  • Put out and return "Open" sign
  • Maintain access to Visitors' Bathroom
  • Answer all phone calls.
  • Maintain Records (mailing, phone calls, walk-ins)
  • Maintain communication among front desk staff-FYI
  • Maintain appearance of front area as necessary (dust, vacuum, clean counters, remove garbage, take garbage and recycling out for pick-up)
  • Handle mailing of information
  • Reply to requests for information (email, phone calls, letters, etc.)
  • Send Partners requests to Kathleen Clothier
  • Prepare items for shipping
  • Assist with Lake Geneva Events/ Winterfest//Tourism Summit, etc.
    • Times for Event would be in addition to regular scheduled Visitors Center hours, could be before 9 a.m. or after 5 p.m. and on weekends as well.
  • Close & open office (lights, doors locked, sign brought  in, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate in a pleasing and friendly manner

  • Operate office equipment i.e. computer using various programs i.e. word, excel, etc: copier, postage machine

  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.




As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests get top quality food and drinks in a clean and safe environment.

AM/PM Maintenance Engineer

Lake Geneva, WI – The Cove is currently looking for a 1st and 2nd shift engineer. The Engineer responds to guest requested maintenance items, completes general maintenance projects, completing applicable shift checklists and other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering and/or other management.

The objectives of this position are to ensure guest satisfaction, positive employee morale, operational efficiency and cost controls, and ultimately ensuring the proper working order of the hotel and upscale appearance of all walls, carpets, floors, furniture and fixtures.

This position will regularly interact with guests and owners and must adhere to dress code and grooming standards.
Based upon fluctuating demands of the hotel and the need to exceed guest’s expectations, it may be necessary for you to perform many distinct functions not specifically related to your position. Employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.

Night Auditor (overnights)

Lake Geneva, WI – We have an immediate opening for a Full Time Night Auditor. We are looking for energetic team player with an eye for detail and who take pride in their work. The Night Auditor is charged with balancing and auditing room revenues, cashier’s reports, as well as guest and house accounts. This position transmits credit card batches and completes/submits daily management and accounting reports with supporting documents. The Night Auditor acts as a hotel system liaison during night hours and performs various Guest Services functions as required. The position may also book room reservations, answer hotel phone calls, and notify guests of messages/packages received. The Night Auditor must be an outgoing, driven and team-oriented individual and all applicants must be able to pass a background and credit check.

Guest Service Agent

Lake Geneva, WI – Guest Service Agents will assist management in the day-to-day operation of the front desk. This position is the face of the hotel and is responsible for providing quality guest services that include registration and check-out, PBX operations, mail, and message service. Guest Service Agents must also provide prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all requests for guest room reservations, changes, and cancellations in accordance with established standards and/or scripts. This position responds to and provides information on hotel services, local attractions, travel directions, etc. Prior experience preferred.
