Local historian Chris Brookes brings the best-selling author of all time, Agatha Christie, back to life for an intimate evening of mystery and conversation.Experience an intimate evening tour of the first floor of Black Point Estate followed by a conversation on our veranda with one of the most successful mystery writers of the 20th century, Agatha Christie, brought to life by local historian and actress Chris Brookes. Christie will discuss her literary career, including her most famous novel "Murder on the Orient Express" and her wildly successful play "Mousetrap." After the program, guests will be provided an abbreviated tour of the first floor of the summer cottage.Brookes has loved Geneva Lake all her life. Her passion for the history of the area developed as she grew up living on the Northwestern Military Academy campus with her family. Mrs. Brookes is active in numerous civic organizations including the Friends of the Lake Geneva Library, The Lake Geneva Historic Preservation Commission, Geneva Lake Theater Association and the Lake Geneva Authorfest.Cost: $30/person.
