What are “No Hush Movies”? These movies are intended for people with early onset dementia, and their caregivers. The lights will remain on, the volume will be adjusted accordingly. You are encouraged to participate if you like. . . sing along, get up and dance, talk.
Dementia Friendly Screenings include exclusively selected classic movies and musicals presented in a unique setting with softer sound and ambient lighting for the comfort of people living with dementia as well as their caregivers and friends. Guests are able to interact with the presentation and are encouraged to talk back, clap, tap their feet, sway, sing along, and get up and dance.
Tickets can be purchased online at Emagine Theaters website or in person at the theater for only $5.00. Click on Showtimes and choose “Dementia Friendly Film” to see upcoming shows and times.
There will also be a concession special available for an additional $5.00 including both a 22 oz. soft drink & 44 oz. popcorn.
