Freezin for a Reason

Join us at Gage Marine & PIER 290 Restaurant for Freezin for a Reason, Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 11:00am- 3:00pm.

Freezin for a Reason gives water-skiers, wakeboarders, surfers, and tubers of all ages a unique opportunity to brave the chilly waters of Lake Geneva to raise money for Santa Cause, a super-charity that supports several local charities in Walworth County. 

The fun filled day includes food and beverage specials, raffles, wine toss, silent auctions, and a live auction. There are several warming stations for participants.

Schedule of Events

• 11:00am to 1:00pm: Amateur skiers
• 1:00pm to 1:30pm: Professional skiers
• 2:00pm to 3:00pm: Aquanuts Show

The event, which has garnered television and newspaper coverage over the years, has grown its participants to around 100, with more than 250 spectators and supporters cheering them on. In 2022, we raised over $35,000.00 with hopes to raise $40,000.00 this year. Participants are asked to get sponsorship pledges from businesses, family, friends, and fans. The minimum donation to participate in Freezin for a Reason is $75.

Hosting Sponsor Gage Marine will again provide boats, skis, tubes, and boards. Dry suits are available for a $50 donation or participants can bring their own equipment.
