A Spooky Event Perfect for Halloween - Enjoy a lake cruise plus a dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe stories in the parlor at Black Point Estate!
You don't have to wait for a midnight dreary to explore the eerie tales of American poet Edgar Allan Poe at this special night of mystery and the macabre at Black Point Estate & Gardens. Take a cruise on beautiful Lake Geneva before arriving at the 1888 Victorian mansion, the perfect setting for your night of scary stories. With the full moon rising in the spooky October skies, listen to dramatic readings of Poe's best-known works, “The Raven” and “The Tell-Tale Heart,” performed by author Joshua Rex (approximately 45 min.). Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as you learn about the life and death of one of America's greatest poets, followed by a Q&A session. Experience a rare nighttime tour of the mansion's first floor before departing for your return cruise. The event will coincide with the full moon for October.

Cruise departs Lake Geneva at 5:30pm. Guests arrive at Black Point Estate at 6:15pm and depart at 7:45pm. Cruise returns to Lake Geneva at 8:30pm. Program is from 6:30 – 7:40pm.

Know Before You Go & Accessibility
Tickets are purchased through the Lake Geneva Cruise Line. Cruise departs Lake Geneva at 5:30 p.m. Guests arrive at Black Point Estate & Gardens at 6:15 p.m. Return cruise departs at 7:45 p.m. Drive-in access is available for guests with additional mobility needs. A complimentary glass of wine is included. A non-alcoholic option is available. This event will be held rain-or-shine, unless the Lake Geneva Cruise line cancels due to storms. Amenities:
No food service. Glass of white wine served upon arrival. Non acholic option available as well.

Inclement Weather:
Rain or shine unless the Cruise Line cancels due to storms. Then a full refund.
