A Spooky Event Perfect for Halloween - Enjoy a lake cruise plus a dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe stories in the parlor at Black Point Estate!
All aboard for a spine-chilling evening with the works of poet and author Edgar Allan Poe in the parlor of Black Point Estate and Gardens. Enjoy a sunset cruise on Geneva Lake courtesy of Lake Geneva Cruise Line before docking at this historic Queen Anne estate for a spooky night of strange tales from one of America’s greatest authors. Edgar Allan Poe historian and author Joshua Dubbert will present three dramatic readings of Poe’s work in the parlor of Black Point Estate and Gardens. Tremble to “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Mask of the Red Death,” and “The Raven,” if you dare! This evening event will be sure to get you into the Halloween spirit. A question-and-answer session will follow the readings, and guests will have a chance to explore the first floor of this 1888 summer cottage.
Cruise Departs at 5:30 p.m. from the Rivera Dock, 812 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva. Guests will arrive at Black Point Estate and Gardens at 6:45 p.m., leave the estate at 7:40 p.m., and return to the dock at 8:30 p.m.

- All tickets must be booked in advance and are purchased through the Lake Geneva Cruise Line.
- All tours launch from the Riviera Docks, 812 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva.
- There is no public parking on site.
- The museum store is open during operating hours.
- Water is the only outside food/beverage allowed. No food or drinks will be served.
- Restrooms are available on the cruise and at the estate.
- The estate will remain open rain or shine.
- Guests are encouraged to wear good walking shoes and to dress for the weather.
- Guests must climb 120 steps to access the estate. The first floor of the estate is ADA accessible.
