Silverstage Theatre Company Presents: William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing

Silverstage Theatre Company is proud to present William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. This vibrant production will open on May 23rd, 2025 at the historic Geneva Stage, bringing the sharp wit and timeless love story to life in a new, exciting context.

Set against the backdrop of World War II, this adaptation transports Shakespeare’s beloved comedy to the nostalgic world of 1940s America. The production explores the same themes of love, misunderstandings, and mistaken identities, but with a fresh twist — complete with vintage costumes and the charm of wartime-era romance. Audiences will enjoy the same witty banter between Beatrice and Benedick, amid an era defined by hope, resilience, and romance.

Directed by Anthony Walker, the production features an ensemble cast of local talent. Much Ado About Nothing will run from May 23rd through May 31st, with performances scheduled at 7pm.
