The Big Balloon Build

Wisconsin Balloon Décor is pleased to present The Big Balloon Build Lake Geneva, taking place at Covenant Harbor on March 23-26, 2023. All proceeds will benefit Inspiration Ministries and Inspired, non-profits that provide people with disabilities everything they need to thrive.

Sara Meyer, owner of Wisconsin Balloon Décor in Lake Geneva, is bringing in 75 balloon artists from all over the world to Lake Geneva for an event that’s happening in the U.S. for just the third time ever! They’ll be transforming the Covenant Harbor Jackson Family Activity Center gym into a magical experience designed entirely with balloons – more than 100,000 of them. The theme for the Build, whose signature sponsor is Kunes RV, is “Inspired by the Great Outdoors.”

“Thousands of people came to view the balloons and we helped raise $120,000 for charity, all because of balloons,” Meyer said of the first Big Balloon Build in Vincennes, IN. “It was the largest installation I’ve ever been part of, which was incredible. But when I saw the impact the event was having on the community, I knew I wanted to bring it home.”

This uplifting adventure will include several great ways to experience the wonder of the Build. After the artists complete the Build on March 23, they’ll hand it over to Inspiration Ministies and Inspired.

The festivities will kick off with a ribbon cutting hosted by Visit Lake Geneva before the residents of IM and the trainees at Inspired get the first look at the fully immersive, larger-than-life walkthrough experience. Thursday night will feature an invite-only VIP party that will include sponsors and the balloon artists.

The rest of the week will look like this:

Friday, March 24

• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Local schoolchildren in Grades 1 through 4 will visit
• 7 p.m.: A night of “In-Tents” Laughter with award-winning comedian Kerri Pomarolli

Saturday, March 25

• 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.: The Ultimate Balloon Experience (Includes a buffet breakfast and a visit with the Easter Bunny in his burrow)
• 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.: General admission to the Build (guests are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food for the Fill the RV Food Drive to benefit local pantries)

Sunday, March 26

• 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.: The Ultimate Balloon Experience (Includes a buffet breakfast and a visit with the Easter Bunny in his burrow)
• 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: General admission to the Build (guests are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food for the Fill the RV Food Drive to benefit local pantries)
• 6 p.m.: Invite-only Balloon popping Party
