Day programming and vocational skills for adults with developmental and other disabilities.
Mission - We Plant Possibilities. Seeds Of Hope is a horticultural and recreational community that brings new growth opportunities to adults with developmental and other disabilities. At Seeds Of Hope, we provide a supportive and creative environment for individuals with disabilities. Our day programming incorporates various aspects of horticulture therapy, healthy living, vocational training, social skills, and recreation.
Community Resources - Seeds Of Hope participants are taught basic horticulture skills based on their own unique level of ability. They have the opportunity to grow their own plants, water, work in the greenhouse, and work with team members as vendors at local farmers markets. Not only have we assisted and provided vocational training for individuals with disabilities in the Lake Geneva area, but we have also provided high quality products to farmers market consumers in the Lake Geneva community.
Most Urgent Need - As an organization, our most urgent needs are recovering financially from the COVID pandemic, due to several closures to ensure the health and safety of the vulnerable population we serve. In addition, we are also raising funds for our new culinary program, which will allow participants to learn basic cooking and food preparation skills. In addition to this, we are also in the early stages of an exciting partnership with Inspired Coffee in Lake Geneva, a collaborative effort which will make maximal use of each agency’s unique set of skills. This partnership will employ our Seeds Of Hope participants in the production of granola, trail mixes, fruit cups, and other healthy snack options to be delivered to and sold at Inspired Coffee.
