WHAT IS BUTI: Buti Is an Intuitive, Music Driven, somatic movement practice that incorporates intentional elements of shaking and vibration and seamlessly integrates, functional movement, Asana yoga, Plyometrics, muscle burnout, and Bursts of HIIT cardio dance. Buti is an Indian Marathi word that means "a cure that has been hidden or kept secret." It was intentionally used in reference to ayurvedic herbs, considered Jadi Buti. Frequently, Most people ask if this has anything to do with your "Booty" your "Butt" The answer is no- It's a word that has far more history and depth to its origin story. We are societally Taught to seek external validation or ways to heal ourselves. We believe the only true cure comes from within. The practice of Buti helps people strip away the layers that hide this cure and bring about total transformation. I AM A BUTISATTVA: WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A BUTISATTVA: Sattva Is one of the gunas in Ayurveda. The sattva infers purity, virtue and light- A balanced mental state. We refer to our students as Bodhisattvas- Students that have tapped into their inner cure to help cultivate a state of sattva. It is important to remember that this practice gives people a new sense of identity and belonging. In many cases, Students tap into their true nature for the first time in class and this can be an emotionally intense experience. Embrace it.
