Our unwavering mission is to advance cancer research by organizing global meetings (including five in Lake Geneva in 2025) that bring together leading scientists to collaborate on their unpublished work. This collaboration accelerates new and existing treatments, improves detection methods, and moves us closer to a cure.

In 2025, we celebrate our 40th anniversary, proudly hosting multiple events in Lake Geneva such as the Forbeck Lake Geneva Half Marathon on June 8, a unique opportunity to support cancer research while enjoying the beauty of Lake Geneva as well as our annual Spring and Fall Scholar Retreats, plus three additional scientific meetings, all in Lake Geneva—a perfect place for collaboration and progress in cancer research. 

About WGFRF:
Founded in memory of William Guy "Billy" Forbeck, who tragically lost his battle with neuroblastoma, the Forbeck Foundation continues his legacy through groundbreaking cancer research. Billy may have only lived 11 years, but his spirit lives on through the transformative work of the Forbeck Foundation.
