2025 Winterfest Human Dog Sled Races

Round out your pack, pick up some serious speed, and mush your way to victory as Human Dog Sled Races return to Winterfest on Sunday, February 2, 2025. This one-of-a-kind experience is a can’t-miss moment during the Winterfest fun. Just steps away from the dazzling snow sculptures, Human Dog Sled Teams will head to Riviera Beach to compete for the big win.
What are Human Dog Sled Races?
Think traditional dog sledding – but with a human-powered twist! Each team of six is made up of four enthusiastic "pullers," one brave "rider," and a determined "musher." Don’t worry about gear—we’ll supply the sleds. All you need to bring to the starting line is your competitive spirit and a readiness to race! Our track will have you mushing down the glimmering shoreline of Geneva Lake at Riviera Beach. Teams will face off in a thrilling single-elimination tournament, battling it out on the snowy track to claim ultimate victory. It’s fast-paced, frosty fun with a dash of Winterfest flair!
A Dog Sled Team will consist of:
- (4) people pulling the sled
- (1) person riding the sled
- (1) “musher” to ride on the back on the sled*

Riviera Beach will be ready for racing on the final day of Winterfest, Sunday, February 2nd. Start forming your pack TODAY. Rally your friends, family, co-workers, or whoever you think can bring your team to a first-place finish.
The stakes are high, and the rewards are epic: Top two teams will take home the glory and some cool prize packages. Up the ante with themed costumes and your team could bring in an extra prize. So, dust off your imagination, lace up your boots, and get ready to mush your way to the finish line.
