Lakeland Players' Sprague Theater Hosts Christian Performing Arts Community's Seussical JR (Musical)
54 local children aged 6 to 18 are double cast in the high-energy, family-friendly show Seussical Jr. Based on the works of Dr. Seuss, Seussical Jr weaves the stories of “Horton Hears a Who” with “Horton Sits on an Egg” along with many others into a beautiful story of friendship, loyalty, and love. Despite all odds, Horton and Gertrude band together to save the Whos, free Horton, and restore peace and unity to the Jungle of Nool! The charming story of Seussical teaches us the power of being unique, and the importance of fighting for your beliefs.
The show is directed and choreographed by Colleen Walker, music directed by Suzanne Stalker, and costumed by Donna Badtke. All the technical elements, including sound, lights, and set were led by technical director, Rick Strauss.
The show opens on Friday, October 30th and runs through Sunday, November 8th. Evening shows start at 7 pm and Sunday matinees are at 3 pm. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime to allow time to visit concessions.
