Mission
Our Mission is “NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!” We are an organization that builds and delivers beds to children in need of a bed and a safe place to sleep. Millions of children across the United States don't have their own bed. The impact of bedlessness affects a child's: School performance and attendance, Physical health and growth, Emotional well-being, Self-esteem and dignity, Family dynamics, and social development. This is a 100% volunteer driven organization. 95 cents of every dollar donated goes to building and delivering beds for children in need. Our Chapter has delivered 127 beds so far in Walworth County. We are a family friendly organization and have children accompanied by adults attend build and delivery days. No experience is necessary to volunteer. Volunteers can build beds, deliver beds, organize bedding drives, support the Core Team with Admin support, Marketing, fundraising, etc. Community Build Days welcome everyone and build relationships with our community. All tools and materials are provided. Each bed includes a handcrafted frame, new twin mattress, new pillow, complete bedding set, and delivery and setup by our dedicated volunteers. All donations stay local and there is full transparency in fund management - tax deductible too!
Community Resources
Every bed delivery changes a family's life. Children experience improved sleep quality, academic performance, self-confidence and family relationships. This gives the families less stress, better family dynamics, improved child behavior and an enhanced home environment.
