American Legion Post 327: The Next Generation of Veterans Who Aren’t Yet Done Serving
Mission:
- To build a community of like-minded veterans who share our values, respect each others’ differences, and make everyone feel welcome.
- To foster camaraderie, be a support system for one another personally and professionally, and be a safe haven for those experiencing challenges.
- To collaborate with local businesses and organizations on outreach initiatives in the community while embracing the tools and technology of today.
As a new generation of veterans who have different priorities, wants, needs, and issues that we want to advocate for. If we want to leave a legacy better than we found it, we must stand up and do it ourselves.
About:The American Legion is the largest wartime veterans service organization with nearly 2 million members and more than 12,000 posts in communities throughout America. Established by an act of Congress in 1919, the Legion was instrumental in the creation of a number of initiatives to support current veterans and future ones to come; including the original GI Bill passed by Congress, the creation of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and launching the national "I Am Not A Number" campaign in 2002 to identify and document the delays veterans face in obtaining medical care from VA.
The mission of the Wisconsin American Legion is to enhance the lives of our Veterans and their families, inspire the next generation of Wisconsin leaders, and promote the principles of The Legion in every community across the Badger State. Together, we can accomplish so much for those who need us. We welcome you to our Legion Family.
