GAXLAND

GAXLAND is the collaborative effort of Lake Geneva native Heidi Gygax, the daughter of Dungeons & Dragons creator and bestselling author, Gary Gygax, and her husband Erik Garland. Together they have written, published and marketed role-playing game adventures, including several set in Lake Geneva.

In 2025 they created their first board game Dragon Derby: The Sport of Wizards, which has a Lake Geneva edition on the flip side of the game board. They have founded EGG CON (an annual gaming convention held in Lake Geneva) and created the E. Gary Gygax Memorial Scholarship to benefit Badger High School students' continuing education.
