History:
The Geneva Lake Women’s Association was originally chartered as the Junior Chamber of Commerce Auxiliary (aka, Jaycettes). In 1985 the Jaycettes became the Geneva Lake Women’s Association. The goal was to meet the ever-changing needs of the community through a wide range of fundraisers and service projects. Today, the Geneva Lake Women’s Association engages individuals of diverse backgrounds, unique talents and ideas to fulfill the vision and mission of GLWA. GLWA is recognized in good standing as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and scientific purposes.
Vision Statement:
The Geneva Lake Women’s Association is a service-oriented organization whose purpose is to offer assistance, support and encouragement to greater Walworth County residents.
Mission Statement:
Through fundraising projects and volunteerism, the Geneva Lake Women’s Association dedicates itself to the future of our community. We will accomplish this through:
- Empowering children to explore their creativity, to understand personal safety, and to feel valued
- Supporting young women in their pursuit of higher education.
- Providing the less fortunate temporary support in times of need
- Supporting organizations focused on animal well-being.
