The Apothecary Bar

Travel back in time to our 1880’s Apothecary (a tribute to our original owner Dr. Philip Maxwell) where drinks are uniquely crafted for every guest. The large glass pane windows of the Apothecary overlook the garden lounge with several outdoor fireplaces and Bocce Ball court to enjoy with friends.

Our Mixologists are always working to create the best craft cocktails in the Midwest and Southern Wisconsin. Not sure what to have? Our Mixologists will find a drink just for you! If cocktails aren’t your thing we have an excellent selection of wines, beers, seltzers, and cider. We also take great pride in making the best Mocktails (non-alcoholic) drinks around. We truly believe you can have just as much fun with Mocktails!

Maxwell Mansion is a historic estate, boutique hotel, and event venue located just over a block from Geneva Lake.  The property features 28 exquisite rooms in The Historic Mansion (built-in 1856), The Stables, and The Carriage House.  Maxwell’s overnight guests can take a dip in the heated saltwater pool, open seasonally.  Open to the public, The Apothecary Bar and Speakeasy Bar offer unique settings indoor and outdoors for a craft cocktail or glass of wine.
