Mission
Kisses from Friends provides emotional and financial support to children undergoing cancer treatment and their families. Based in southeastern Wisconsin, we raise funds through events like dinners, sporting activities, and public donations. Our mission is to increase awareness of childhood cancer and offer practical support to families during difficult times. Our objectives are to:
• Provide children and their families with opportunities to participate in activities like sporting events and camps, offering a break from treatment.
• Address the unique needs of each child and family through tailored support.
• Raise awareness about childhood cancer within the local community.
• Encourage community involvement in fundraising and support.
• Host and participate in events to promote the organization’s mission.
• Make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and their families.
We’re committed to helping children and families through the challenges of cancer treatment and beyond.
Community Resource Example
Kisses from Friends has been a strong influence in Lake Geneva by being a resource for children that have cancer. We also support local businesses by bringing families to fun events in the community. Our Junior Board, made up of 4th-12th graders, not only helps run events but also meets with community leaders to raise funds. It's a great way for them to build leadership skills and understand the importance of supporting others. Examples of events in Lake Geneva:
Winter Fun Day
In 2024 we hosted 18 families for a total of 97 people for a special day out in Lake Geneva. Activities included:
- Treats from Something Sweet
- Candle making at The Candle Mercantile
- The Santa Cruise
- Dinner at Lake City Social
Lake Geneva School of Cooking
A special night for parents to relax and reconnect.
These events allow families to put cancer on the back burner for a minute and enjoy time together doing fun activities and Kisses from Friends can give back to our local businesses.
