Many local communities are still running their weekly farmers markets where you can find one-of-a-kind handmade items, or tasty treats from the bountiful late summer harvest. If shopping truly is your thing, Lake Geneva has one of the largest summer sales in the area at the end of August, put on your most comfortable walking shoes and head to downtown for the annual Maxwell Street Days August 25-27.
There are still a few local celebrations happening that you don’t want to miss. From tacos to summer wine and cheese tastings, to crafts, there’s family fun everywhere! And when it comes to county fairs, Walworth County has one of the best and biggest in the state and it’s the perfect way to close out the season!
